Goldfields

The discovery of gold in the 1850’s set in train events that would change Australian history forever and build the nation we have today. Ballarat and the surrounding districts are as relevant today with tourist today as they were over 150 years ago with those who sought their fortune on the Goldfields. Apart from major attractions of Sovereign Hill and the Eureka Stockade, the region boasts great scenery and attractions in many towns of Marlborough, Castlemaine and Clunes.
